The 3 Question Six Week Challenge We All Need to Do

Our system’s sorceress and Just Add Moon newsletter contributor, Julie Grace, recently sent me Queer Cosmo’s IGTV video on his Virgo Full Moon forecast and what stood out for me most was his encapsulation of The Course of Miracles* main message as seen through three questions:

Where would you have me go?
What would you have me do?
What would you have me say and to whom?

He challenged us to wake up every morning for the next 6 to 8 weeks and ask the Universe those three questions before you head into your day. As a Virgo ascendant who’s always like a bee to honey when it come to new ways to add some introspection into my daily living- well- this bee made a fast buzz to this honey!

You don’t need to have a Virgo Ascendant, Sun, or Moon sign or even care about astrology to be curious about and take this challenge on. I would safely say we are ALL seeking our best lives and this is a simple way to set yourself on or continue on this path.

Plus, we just had the Virgo Full Moon and for the next 7-10 days this energy is being directed at your physical and mental health and healing, attention to your daily routines as the cornerstone to your abundant live, and how you are of service to others. This would be a a easy routine to do that activates these important areas of your being.

Virgo energy is all about knowing you are a spiritual being having a human experience and the two go hand in hand; one is not dominant over the other.

These three questions remind us of this and here’s why:

  1. You begin by asking the Universe NOT yourself these 3 questions. This first and foremost adds devotion to your inquiries; aka I trust there is something out there greater than me (in however this resonates for you- God, Universal energy, nature, grace, gods and goddesses, spirit guides, angels, etc.).

  2. Where you go, what you do and what you say are firmly rooted in being a human and it’s how we navigate our days. This bodily experience is what we are most aware of and where we spend most of our time and energy. These questions remind us that each and every day we have a CHOICE of how we cash in this time and energy before our heads hit the pillow.

  3. The pause is how thoughtful action happens. It’s one pretty effective way to tell your ego that it is in the passenger or even back seat. How much you enjoy your human living is deeply influenced by what you can consciously bring to the surface. These three questions are your pause to do just that and temper your ego a bit to be more balanced with your higher self.

So I am on Day 2 of this challenge and I will share that it has been powerful but not in a tangible, all-the-answers-came-to-me-like-a-flash-of-lightning way. Rather I find myself very MINDFUL of what I am doing. These 3 simple questions first thing in the morning allow me to trust through the pause that it creates to feel if this aligns with MY priorities. I am very aware of how I want to show up first for myself and then for others.

We live in a very hyper ME-focused culture and to be reminded on a daily basis that the Other is actually why we are all here, to be of service to others, to love one another is well, a beautiful thing and more of what the world needs.

Perhaps there is such thing as a course in miracles and I am a willing and able student. Care to join me?

*A Course in Miracles is a 1976 book by Helen Schucman. It is a curriculum for those seeking to achieve spiritual transformation. The underlying premise is that the greatest “miracle” is the act of simply gaining a full “awareness of love’s presence” in one’s own life.
