What is Food Energy and What Does It Have to Do with My Manifesting?

When I first put together Just Add Moon as a moon manifesting subscription box it was super important to me to include a food product but not just to have a yummy treat (although who doesn’t love to be introduced to delicious healthy snacks). Like all the products in the box, each one had a purpose. The purpose of the healthy snack was to include a little known energy healer but one that I find to be super powerful: Food Energy.

Just Add Moon online membership continues to offer this delicious and powerful way of connecting with the energy of the moon by providing you with a list of whole foods, meal planning and recipes that resonate with chakras most activated during that month’s New and Full Moon.

Energy is everything. Try to think of something that doesn’t involve energy and you won’t get very far. Although energy is a bit of a mystery to most of us, one of the most basic laws of physics: the conservation of energy which states that energy cannot be created nor destroyed but can be transformed from one form to another, as well as flow from one place to another.

Having an understanding of the ENERGY OF FOOD and its impact on a human body has its foundation rooted in this basic scientific principle. Our bodies can’t create energy nor can our bodies destroy energy, rather the energy is already there and always present. How we choose to move this energy (or not) through our bodies is up to us. Energy can stagnate or it can flow and each of these states of being can have a profound effect on our physical and mental well being.

You have 7 major energy centers, chakras, that span from the base of your spine to the crown of your head. If you could see them they would look like wheels of energy spinning freely along your spine. Each corresponds to specific glands, organs, and facets of your being that represent a psychological and spiritual quality responsible for your health and well-being, or the lack thereof.

When your energy wheels are flowing freely so is your health and well being; you are optimized for success. When they are unbalanced or blocked disturbances in your physical, mental and spiritual states can occur which are linked to physical disease, unhappiness and stagnation in your life. This system of creating wellness using your chakras or energy centers is rooted in ancient healing traditions that have been used for thousands of years.

Every whole food corresponds to one or more of these energy centers, therefore, making food choices for the health of your energy centers is an effortless way to balance and heal many areas of your life. Think of it as tapping into the energy within you for living a high vibrational life. You eat every day; these are a lot of opportunities you take for granted that are within YOUR control that can end up having a significant impact on quality of life.

When we refer to the moon in a zodiac sign this is an astrological concept that describes the monthly lunar path on the sky, visible from Earth. We see the Moon moving daily from one zodiac constellation sector to another. Astrologers believe that this lunar zodiac travel influences our life, much like the Sun does. The Moon is charging itself with the power and qualities of the zodiac sign it finds itself in as it moves through the lunar cycle. So when the moon is at its most energetic influence on Earth, the New and Full Moons, we really feel the zodiac energy, or the essence of human personality and emotions, associated with that zodiac sign.

It is for this reason that astrologers believe the Moon influences human creativity, imagination and the ability to attract other people. It affects our personal mood and our focus on daily activities. Our chakras also resonate with the essence of our human personality and emotions and influence us on physical and emotional levels. I have come to associate each zodiac with one or more chakras/energy centers.

When I started hosting Full Moon dinners and New Moon Intention Setting events in 2016 I incorporated food energy into the rituals via teas and food, and found this supportive tool to be so lovely and healing. The addition of food energy to your moon ritual magnifies the intention setting and release we are seeking with sacred moon practices.

Now that you have a better understanding of the amazing energy within you that has the power to create life vitality let’s get tapping into that energy so you can live your best life.
